Calling all writers! ADL invites you to submit an original creative work for consideration in the Creative Writing Competition!
Registration Fee: NT 2,000 (Must fill out the form below to register).
Divisions: Elementary (Grades 4-6); Secondary (Grades 7+)
Eligibility: All current ADL students. One entry per student.
Accepted Works: Short story, Script, Poetry, Creative Nonfiction (Essay)
Word Count: 700 words for elementary & 1000 words for open division(Secondary)
Judge: ADL Teachers
Recognitions and Awards:
- First Prize: Reading at the official NSDA Taiwan Awards Ceremony on Sunday at Campus
- First, Second, and Third Prize: An NSDA medal AND publication on ADL’s Facebook page and website

Judging Criteria:
- Clarity
Is the writing clear and easy to understand? Are ideas organized and logical? - Concision
Does the writer express their ideas as concisely as possible? - Detail
Does the writing include specific, vivid details? - Mechanics
Are grammar, punctuation, and spelling correct and consistent? - Creativity
Is the writing original and imaginative? Does it show unique ideas or perspectives? - Overall Impact/Engagement
Does the piece captivate the reader? Is it engaging and thought-provoking?
