何謂NSDA(National Speech & Debate Association)?

國際辯論協會(NFL)成立於1925年,是一個無黨派、非盈利性的教育榮譽學會。在美國,這是一個歷史最悠久、規模最大且最具知名的演講與辯論協會。他們的國際性錦標賽也是世界上最大的。截至2011年為止,該組織擁有12萬學生會員、3500名教練和一千四百萬名會友。

NFL 會友在美國具有知名的聲望和影響力,如:最高法院大法官Sonia Sotomayor、Stephen BreyerSamuel Alito;富見識的媒體Oprah WinfreyTed Turner;演員Brad Pitt及Renee Zellweger;電視明星Stephen Colbert、Tom Lennon;與參議員Senators Richard Lugar、Russ FeingoldWilliam Frist。

國際性的演講比賽自1931年起已連續舉辦(除二次世界大戰期間外),NFL鼓勵學生們藉由參與比賽來獎賞學生NFL點數、授予級別以追求進步。 NFL點數受到美國大學高度的尊重與認可,且統計數據顯示,NFL學生在班上是前5%的學生,在所有的標準化測驗裡,如:SAT,具有更好的表現,並有22%較高的機會被美國頂尖大學所接受。美國錦標賽舉辦下列項目:
